One-day bus tour to see the illuminated autumn leaves in Korankei and autumn cherry blossoms in Obara

TOURISM TOYOTA

A one-day bus tour that lets you encounter two of Toyota's seasonal sights: the reds and yellows of Korankei Gorge's bright maples, and the rare spectacle of cherry blossoms blooming in autumn.
With no need to worry about transportation, and having an English-speaking tour guide in attendance, this tour allows international visitors to enjoy Toyota's most popular autumn sights without the hassle of renting a car.

While most cherry blossoms bloom in the spring, there are a few places in Japan where you can see both fiery red and orange autumn leaves and soft pink cherry blossoms at the same time. In the mountainous Obara area of Toyota City, you can see shikizakura, a type of cherry tree that blooms twice a year, in spring and autumn.

You can also enjoy the beauty of the Korankei Gorge enveloped in the soft light before dusk and see the trees lit up after dark, as well as get to sample the sweet local persimmons.
There are many restaurants and shopping opportunities near the Shin-Toyota Station departure point, and both the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art and Toyota City Museum are within walking distance.

How to get there

From Nagoya Station, take the JR Chuo Main Line to Kozoji Station (about 30 minutes). Transfer to the Aichi Loop Line and get off at Shin-Toyota Station (about 35 minutes).
From Chubu Centrair International Airport, take the direct bus to Toyota (around 1 hour and 10 minutes). Get off by the Meitetsu Toyota Hotel and walk for 10 minutes to Shin-Toyota Station, where the tour meets.
