Relax, refresh yourself, and improve your wellness in the forest of Saitama’s Kitamoto City, about an hour north of Tokyo.

Kitamoto Tourism Association

Experience the wellness that comes from forest bathing with our customized forest experiences in Kitamoto City, Saitama, just an hour from bustling Tokyo. We cater to city dwellers, helping participants refresh, relax and enjoy a break from busy urban life.

The services we offer support individuals, groups, corporations, schools, and associations. We can also tailor outdoor activities to specific objectives, such as team building, nature workshops, trekking, and campfire experiences. English-speaking staff are available to discuss the specifics.

Kitamoto is proud to be certified as one of Japan's official forest therapy bases by the Forest Therapy Society, ensuring a high-quality, authentic experience. Experience peace and relaxation with authentic forest bathing guided by certified local experts, with optional health checks before and after to measure the activity’s impact.

Our community-based tourism initiative provides a unique opportunity to reconnect with nature. Enjoy healthy eating and cooking, including local foods prepared naturally in our camp field, and participate in cooking sessions with locals for a more immersive experience. Explore the countryside by walking to historical shrines and nearby farms, and learn about the area surroundings. Seasonal fruit picking and vegetable harvesting experiences are also available.

How to get there

From Tokyo Station, take the JR Takasaki Line to Kitamoto Station (about 1 hour). From Kitamoto Station, board a bus and get off at the Nature Observation Park (approximately 10 minutes). A 5-minute walk from the bus stop will take you to the Saitama Nature Study Center, which is the meeting point for all activities.
