Kyushu District Transport Bureau
Yutoku Inari Shrine, established in 1687, is one of the largest Inari shrines in Japan. It welcomes over 3 million visitors annually and has become a popular destination for visitors to Saga Prefecture.
People come from all around to pray for business success, family prosperity, abundant harvests, and safety on the road, while also enjoying the elaborate architecture and lofty views the shrine offers.
During this tour, you will have the rare opportunity to enter the main hall of Yutoku Inari Shrine, which is usually off-limits to visitors, and experience traditional Shinto prayer rituals, including a sacred dance by the miko shrine maidens.
Additionally, the area from the shopping street in front of the shrine to the precincts will be illuminated with “fox wedding”-themed light displays at dusk.
How to get there
From Hakata Station, take the JR Nagasaki Main Line express train to Hizen Kashima Station (about 1 hour). Yutoku Inari Shrine is about 10 minutes by bus or car from the station.
