There are a few ways to get to Minami-Boso, but if you are going by car, it will take about an hour and a half. A bus or train will take about two hours if you are departing from Tokyo Station.

The clear waters and gentle surf off the Boso Peninsula are popular for SUP, diving and other water sports. This part of Chiba has long been a getaway for those in the Tokyo area, so you won't have trouble finding restaurants or accommodation if you decide to extend your stay.
How to get there
It takes about an hour and a half to reach Minami-Boso by car via the Tokyo Bay Aqualine. Trains from Tokyo Station via Chiba Station take a little over 3 hours. Combining a bus and a train is a faster option; take a direct bus to Kazusa-Minato Station and change to the local Uchibo train line for Iwai Station.
