How to Get There
Sagamiko Resort Pleasure Forest can be easily accessed by public transportation from Tokyo or by car.
Travelers exploring the countryside in a rental car will find the park within 10 to 20 minutes of nearby interchanges but note that traffic jams are typical on weekends and holidays.
The nearest station is Sagamiko Station on the JR Chuo Main Line, an eight-minute walk away.
A direct bus from the Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal takes one hour and 15 minutes each way.
Countless points of light
The installations involve the use of around six million LED bulbs, more than any of other festivals of light in the Kanto area .
In addition to taking in the scenery, you can ride a merry-go-round, Ferris wheel, bumper cars and more. Most of these rides also allow infants and toddlers to join.
Where to stay
Given the Sagamiko Resort's distance from major cities, you might want to consider staying at one of the quaint wooden cabins or cottages nearby, some of which come with a deck and barbecue grill. You can buy meat and veggies to grill up at the resort's shop.
Planning an overnight stay at the resort also gives you more time to enjoy the hot spring baths leisurely. There is also an area for camping tents.
