How to Get There
Tsuruoka Park is located in Tsuruoka City in Yamagata Prefecture and can be accessed by public transportation.
Take the train to Tsuruoka Station on the JR Uetsu Line. In front of Tsuruoka Station, take a bus toward Yunohama Onsen and get off at Shiyakusho-mae.

Tsuruoka Park is the perfect spot for enjoying hanami. Built on the ruins of Tsuruoka Castle, locals and tourists gather with food and drink to celebrate the arrival of spring.
You can bring your own food or find something on site. Vendors sell everything from sweets and snacks to yakiniku. Stalls are open throughout the park during hanami season.
