How to Get There
You can reach the flower fields by train and then bus.
A rental car is recommended if you want to visit every flower field, but public buses are available to many of the main areas.
From Sapporo Station, catch the Lilac Limited Express Train or Kamui Limited Express Train going to Takikawa (about 50 minutes), then a local train on the Nemuro Main Line to Furano Station (about 70 minutes). From there, take the Furano Lavender Bus to flower fields in Nakafurano.
A little extra color
The area's wetlands and highlands also feature rare flowers that can't be found elsewhere. Trekking and hiking are recommended for true nature enthusiasts.
