Swim with colorful fish, reef mantas and turtles in Okinawa’s southern waters
Ishigakijima Island in Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park is part of the Yaeyama Island group, the southernmost islands in the Ryukyu Island chain. Its subtropical waters are home to an enormous variety of sea creatures, from colorful corals and fish to larger marine animals like sea turtles and manta rays.
Experience this wondrous marine environment on a snorkeling tour with one of Umicoza’s experienced, multilingual guides. Tours are based in Kabira Bay, where you will have a high chance of seeing mantas during the summer season (July to mid October), and if you are lucky, you may encounter sea turtles and other surprising sea life. Snorkeling tours are not limited to the summer months, however. You will have the chance to see a variety of colorful sea creatures and coral throughout the year.
Umicoza operates its snorkeling tours according to strict ecotourism guidelines and always with safety first. Its experienced, trained guides will give you access to the best snorkeling spots around Kabira Bay with minimal disruption to the marine environment. Tours are conducted in English, Chinese, Cantonese and Japanese.
