A museum dedicated to Japan's first NASA astronaut, space technology, and the mysteries of space

Yoichi is the hometown of Mamoru Mohri, a scientist and Japan's first NASA astronaut. The museum was opened in 1992 in honor of his achievements. It has a lot of information on the cosmos. Yoichi Space Museum is a facility adjoining the Space Apple Yoichi Roadside Station.

Watch movies and the stars

The museum has many exhibits that adults and children can enjoy. The Digital Planetarium uses computer graphics to project the star-filled sky onto the inside wall of the air dome, and you can watch movies in the 2041 Solar System Mission 3D Theater.

Almost life-sized

The museum also has a 1:20-scale model of the International Space Station, a 3:4-scale Hubble Space Telescope. You can also buy space food at the gift shop if you want to try something a little different.
